Evidence
Understand how Nuxari captures, stores, and exports audit-ready evidence.
Last updated: June 2026
Who this is for
Admins and auditors who need to collect, review, and export governance evidence for internal or external audit purposes.
Before you start
Evidence is generated automatically when evaluations run and when remediation workflows complete. You do not need to configure anything extra, just make sure at least one connector and one evaluation have been completed.
What evidence means in Nuxari
In Nuxari, evidence is a structured record of a governance action, what was evaluated, what was found, what decision was made, and what outcome was produced. Evidence is captured automatically as part of every evaluation and remediation workflow. You do not need to manually screenshot, log, or export interim state, Nuxari does this at every step.
What gets captured
Each evidence record includes:
- Event type, what kind of action produced this record (evaluation, finding, approval, remediation, etc.)
- Actor, who or what initiated the action (user, scheduled job, or system)
- Timestamp, when the action occurred, in UTC
- Status, success, failed, or pending
- Control mapping, which governance controls this action supports
- Before and after state, a structured summary of what changed (for remediation records)
Where to find evidence
In Nuxari, go to Audit > Evidence. You will see a list of evidence records sorted by date. Use the filters to narrow by event type, connector, date range, or status.
Evidence packages
An evidence package is a bundled set of related records, for example, all evidence from a specific evaluation cycle, or all records related to a particular remediation workflow. Packages are designed to be shared with auditors as a self-contained unit. To create a package, select the records you want to include in the Evidence view and click Create Package.
Exporting evidence
You can export any evidence record or package in JSON or PDF format. Select the record or package and click Export. JSON exports are useful for automated audit tooling. PDF exports are formatted for human reviewers.
