Requester
The Requester submits access requests and tracks their own tickets. This is the self-service role for end users who need to request access or initiate governance actions.

Who this is for
End users, employees, or contractors who need to request access to systems, groups, or licenses, and want to track the status of their own requests.
Purpose
The Requester role is the self-service entry point for users in Nuxari. It allows individuals to submit access requests through the proper governance channel — rather than going directly to an administrator — and to monitor the progress of their own requests. The scope of this role is deliberately narrow: Requesters can see their own activity but not tenant-wide data.
What Requesters can do
- Submit access requests for systems, roles, groups, or licenses they need.
- View the status of their own requests and tickets.
- View their own audit events — actions taken on their behalf or by them in the platform.
- Use Ask Nuxari with limited scope to get help with requests and status checks.
- Receive notifications about the status of their own requests.
What Requesters cannot do
- View other users' requests or tickets — Requesters can only see their own activity.
- Approve or deny any request, including their own.
- View tenant-wide governance data, findings, reports, or the full audit log.
- Configure connectors, workflows, templates, or any platform settings.
- Assign roles to other users.
Ask Nuxari for Requesters
Requesters have access to a limited version of Ask Nuxari. They can ask questions about the status of their own requests, get help understanding what access to request, and get guidance on the request process. They cannot ask the assistant about tenant-wide governance data, other users' access, or administrative configuration.
Assignment guidance
- Assign this role to employees, contractors, or end users who need to request access to systems through the standard governance channel.
- If the user also needs to approve requests (for example, a manager who also submits their own requests), add the Approver role in addition to Requester.
- For users who only need view access and do not submit requests, use Readonly Viewer instead.
