Notifications
Configure how Nuxari notifies you about approvals, findings, and workflow updates.

Who this is for
Workspace admins configuring notification channels and team members managing their personal notification preferences.
Before you start
Email notifications are enabled by default for all users based on their role. External channel integrations (Slack, Teams, Webhook) require an admin to configure the channel in Settings first.
What events trigger notifications
Approval request
Sent to the assigned approver when a remediation plan or workflow requires authorization.
Finding created
Sent to admins when a new high or critical severity finding is produced by an evaluation.
Remediation status change
Sent to the plan creator when a plan is approved, rejected, executed, or closed.
Scheduled job outcome
Sent after a scheduled workflow (such as a planned offboarding) executes, success or failure.
Connector health alert
Sent to admins when a connector enters an error or disconnected state.
Credential expiry warning
Sent when a tracked credential or certificate is within your configured warning threshold of its expiry.
Where to configure notifications
In Nuxari, go to Settings > Notifications. From here you can configure workspace-level notification channels and adjust which events trigger alerts for each channel.
Email notifications
Email is the default notification channel. Every user in your workspace receives email notifications for events relevant to their role, for example, approvers receive email when a plan awaits their review. Users can manage their personal email preferences in their account settings.
Slack and Microsoft Teams
To receive notifications in Slack or Teams, go to Settings > Notifications and configure the relevant integration. You can specify which Slack channel or Teams channel receives governance alerts and choose which event types are sent there.
Webhook notifications
For custom integrations, Nuxari supports outbound webhooks. Configure a webhook endpoint in Settings > Notifications > Webhooks. Nuxari sends a structured JSON payload to your endpoint when a triggered event occurs. You can use this to route notifications into ticketing systems, PagerDuty, or custom alerting workflows.
Approval request notifications
When a remediation plan or workflow requires approval, the assigned approver receives an immediate notification via all configured channels. The notification includes a summary of the plan, the requesting user, and a direct link to the approval screen. If the approver has not acted within a configurable reminder period, a follow-up notification is sent.
Testing a notification channel
After configuring a channel, click Send Test Notification in the channel settings to confirm the delivery is working. You should receive a test message within a few seconds. If you do not, check the channel configuration and verify that any required permissions or webhooks are correctly set up in the external system.
