Start Guide
A step-by-step guide to getting up and running with Nuxari.
Last updated: June 2026
Who this is for
New Nuxari workspace owners and admins setting up the platform for the first time.
Before you start
You need a Nuxari workspace and an owner or admin role. If you have not received an invitation, contact your organization administrator.
1. What Nuxari does
Nuxari is a governance control plane. It continuously compares the access your organization has approved against the access that actually exists across your cloud, SaaS, identity, and edge environments. When the two do not match, Nuxari surfaces a finding. Your team reviews the finding, creates a remediation plan with required approvals, executes the correction, and Nuxari automatically captures immutable evidence of every step.
2. Key concepts
Before diving in, review theConcepts pageto understand terms like access drift, findings, control packs, remediation plans, and evidence packages.
3. Getting started
- 1
Connect your first system
In Nuxari, go to Settings > Connectors and click Add Connector. Select the system type (for example, Microsoft Entra ID, GitHub, or AWS), enter the required credentials, and click Test Connection to confirm Nuxari can reach the system.
- 2
Run your first evaluation
Navigate to Control Packs. Select a pack that matches your environment, for example, the Identity Lifecycle Pack if you connected an identity provider. Click Run Evaluation. Nuxari will compare observed access against expected state and produce a ranked list of findings.
- 3
Review your first finding
Go to Governance > Findings. You will see findings sorted by severity. Click any finding to expand the detail view: what was observed, what was approved, and the recommended action.
- 4
Create a remediation plan
Inside a finding, click Create Remediation Plan. Assign an approver and set a due date. The approver will receive a notification. No action executes until the approval is completed.
- 5
Export evidence
Go to Audit > Evidence. Select an evidence record from your first evaluation. Click Export to download the record as JSON or PDF. This is the format you would share with an auditor.
- 6
Invite your team
Go to Settings > Team and click Invite. Enter the email address and select a role (admin, approver, auditor, or readonly). The invited user will receive an email with a secure link to join your workspace.
Recommended next steps
Once your first evaluation is complete and your team is invited, explore these areas of the platform:
- Set up additional connectors to increase coverage across your environment.
- Run the Remediation Canary Pack after closing findings to confirm corrections held.
- Configure notification channels so approvers are alerted immediately when a plan needs their attention.
