Chat-to-Action

Use natural language to draft, schedule, and govern automation workflows.

Last updated: June 2026

Who this is for

Admins who want to initiate governance workflows using plain language, without navigating menus manually for common, well-defined operations.

Before you start

Chat-to-Action requires at least one configured connector. You need an admin role. An approver must be available in your workspace to authorize any high-impact actions before they execute.

What Chat-to-Action does

Chat-to-Action lets you describe an operation in plain language and have Nuxari draft the governance workflow for it. You review the draft, Nuxari requests an approval from your designated approver, and the action executes only after authorization is completed. Chat-to-Action is a workflow interface, it does not bypass any governance requirements.

How to use it

  1. 1In Nuxari, go to Governance > Chat-to-Action.
  2. 2Type your request in the input field. Be specific: include the user, the system, and the timing if relevant.
  3. 3Nuxari drafts an action plan and checklist based on your request. Review the proposed steps carefully.
  4. 4If the draft looks correct, confirm it. Nuxari creates an approval request and notifies the assigned approver.
  5. 5After the approver authorizes the plan, Nuxari executes the workflow steps in the connected system.
  6. 6A final confirmation summary is shown when all steps complete. Evidence is captured automatically.

Example request

“John resigned. His last day is 06/10/2026. Schedule offboarding at 5 PM.”

Nuxari would create an offboarding action plan for John, generate an approval request, and schedule the workflow to run on 06/10/2026 at 5:00 PM, pending approval from your designated approver.

Scheduling actions

If your request includes a future date or time, Nuxari creates a scheduled job for that moment. The approval must be completed before the scheduled time for the job to execute. If approval is pending when the scheduled time arrives, the job waits and notifies the assigned approver again.

Audit and evidence

Every Chat-to-Action workflow generates a complete audit trail: the original request, the drafted plan, the approval record, the execution steps, and the final outcome. All of this is available in Audit > Evidence and the audit log.

Chat-to-Action requires approval for all high-impact actions. No access changes execute without human authorization. Nuxari is the workflow engine, the AI assistant only helps draft the plan.
